| Description | Chess clinic led by NM/LM Ilya Krasik. For advanced beginners and intermediate players (U1500). E-mail instructor to see if your child would be a good fit for this clinic. (ilyakrasik@gmail.com) Ilya Krasik is an experienced instructor, life master, and founder and head coach of N.E. Chess School, and Manage of Boston Blitz, part of the United States Chess League. He has taught chess professionally for 13 years. recognized for outstanding achievement by RI Senate, 2011 for coaching many juniors to state titles, some of whom are already National Masters themselves. Coach of the Cabot School's state title winning team in March 2016 Hurvitz Cup. Clinics will be both serious and fun. Students will get homework and before/after personal evaluation. Tactics, Strategy, Openings, Middlegame, and Endgame strategy. Bughouse, Blitz challenges/tournaments, history of modern chess. Prizes and much more. | Description | GM Larry Christiansen, three time US Champion, will teach this week long summer clinic for advanced students. Other qualified instructors will coach and supervise play in the afternoon. Lectures will be geared to player rated at least 1400, but players of all levels may attend. Clinic is open to scholastic players at least 8 years old, as well as adults. Lunch will not be provided; there will be a lunch break 12:30pm - 1:30pm. Cost is either $350 for the full week or $80 per day for registration before July 1, $375/week or $85/day for registration after July 1. Ilya will be on hand to discuss the content of his clinic and to answer questions (including chess questions) with interested students on Saturday, July 9, 12.30-2.30 at the Boylston club in Cambridge.
He is offering the waiver of the 50$ late fee to anyone who registers this Saturday, July 9.
There is a flexible option schedule - register for one day Mon-Thu (July 11-15) for only 55$.
