2012 December recess: 26th, 27th, 28th 2013 February recess: 19th, 20th, 21st, 22nd April recess: 16th, 17th, 18th, 19th June (school's out): 25th, 26th, 27th, 28th August (school's out): 20th, 21st, 22nd, 23rd |
| Details: | These chess camps invite young chess players who already have
a complete understanding of the rules of chess to come and develop
their
abilities. With a combination of lecture, question/answer, and
hands-on techniques, the instructor(s) will cover:
Tactics Strategy Openings Middlegames Endgames Problems Students will develop their memory, critical thinking skills, sense of fairness, attention span, and have fun in the process. |
| Who can join?: | School-age children, K to 12, interested in getting better at chess from motivated beginner to intermediate. |

Each camp is $80 for Boylston Chess Club members. Non-members who
have never been members before will need to pay to join the club for
one year in which case the camp fee is waived for up to two children.
(Parents with more than one child in the camp can get a discount—only
$55 per child.) Please make checks payable to the Boylston Chess
Foundation and please pay at site.
We always have plenty of room for more
students and will bring in extra teachers if needed. No reservation is
required. Just show up the morning of the first day, before or around
9:00 a.m.!
