Elliott lost his first game and then proceeded to win six games in a row.

Considering the play of Elliott and Andrew, the Boylston was certainly well-represented in Philadelphia this weekend.

Congratulations Elliott!

The Dark Horse

I recently received this invitation which may be of interest:

Nancy Campbell nancy@iffboston.org via bu.edu

Hello,

I am writing from the Independent Film Festival Boston (IFFBoston).

We are hosting a special free screening of a film called THE DARK HORSE that might be of interest to you and your organization on

Wednesday, March 30th
at the Coolidge Corner Theatre in Brookline, MA
at 7:30pm.

We would be grateful if you could help spread the word to your membership.

A little more about the film:

Based upon a powerful true story, THE DARK HORSE is the uplifting portrait of a man searching for the courage to lead, despite his struggles with mental illness. The film features a stunning, award-winning performance by Cliff Curtis (Whale Rider, Blow, “Fear the Walking Dead”) as Genesis “Gen” Potini, a brilliant but troubled New Zealand chess champion who finds purpose by teaching underprivileged children about the rules of chess and life.
This event is a free on a first come, first served basis.

The free pass can be downloaded here:

We hope that you can join us for this inspiring film.
Best,
Nancy Campbell
