BCC BLITZ RATING!
IM Mark Esserman scored a convincing 11.5 out of 12
to take clear first place and $100 cash prize. Marc
earned a 2537 rating for his efforts.
NM Lawyer Times plays black vs Natasha Christiansen
in Round 1. Lawyer scored 9/12 for clear 2nd place and
a $50 cash prize. Natasha was 5.5/12. Lawyer posted a
2324 BCC Blitz rating and Natasha put up a 1858 rating.
IM Esserman vs Charles Slade. Charles who honed his blitz
chess skills at the Au Bon Pain Cafe summer chess scene,
scored an impressive 8/12 for a 2055 BCC Blitz Chess Rating
and the U2000 prize (his pre-tournament rating was 1886) of
$30. Bravo, Charles!
Alexander Khari, a Harvard Square blitz chess veteran, playing
black, scored 5 points (rating 1596 to 1609) to claim the U1800
prize of $20. Here he is seen playing Mateos Sahakian who
scored 6 points to "claim" clear 4th place (no cash prize) and
a 2018 BCC Blitz Chess Rating. Bravo Mateos!
Anatoly Levin playing white vs Sergio Miranda-Elmalech.
Anatoly scored 5 points for a BCC Blitz Chess Rating of
1946. Sergio, new to the chess scene, and unrated at the time
of the event, scored 2 points to mint a BCC Blitz Chess Rating
of 1437. Bravo, Sergio! Keep up the good work.
Doctor Chess, otherwise known simply as "Doc" plays black
vs BCC tournament player Soren Pedersen. Doc scored 3 points
to newly mint a BCC Blitz Chess Rating of 1589 taking clear
9th place and Soren scored 5 points good for 6-8th place and a
BCC Blitz rating of 1882.

the first BCC Friday Night Blitz was
put together and worked well, gets A+ for
his efforts. The event was absolutely
fantastic and all the players and
spectators enjoyed every minute of their
time spent at the 40 Norris Street venue.
Thanks you Andrew, for your contribution
to the BCC. And special mention is in
order. The Thursday Night Swiss for
January was completed this past Thursday
and Andrew scored 3.5 out of 4 in the
Open Section to win clear 1st place and
the cash prize; and a +14 to 2200 rating!
