9 yr old chess expert Derek Jin plays expert
Suraj Ramanathan in Round 2.
Suraj won this game and came in clear 1st
with a +15 rating hike to 2159! Bravo, Suraj!

Alex went undefeated winning the quad with 2.5 points
earning a +20 to 1773 rating.

[I was sure I had an advantage to play out on the queenside.
I spent a good part of the hour trying to figure out how to
set up multiple threats on Kevin's bishop. Somehow I was
not satisfied with my play and lapsed into a moment of
sloppyness which Kevin punished me for immediately.
Though I lost the game on time, Kevin had the win from
that point!  Bravo, Kevin, great focus power! sps]
Kevin won this game and the quad with a perfect 3-0 score
for a +118 to 1596 rating!

Chris won the 3SS with 2.5 points and an unrated to 1617 
provisional rating. This was Chris' first USCF rated event
and the first trip to the BCC: Bravo Chris, and welcome to
the BCC and to tournament chess!
