Nithin scored 2 points to share 3-5th place
with Jason Tang and Uri Feld.

U1950 SECTION
Tim O'Malley plays black vs Alex Jin, Round 2.
Tim went undefeated with 2.5 points to share 1-3rd place
with David Martin and Harold Dondis.
Ray Behenna tries to find the winning
plan vs David Martin, Round 3.
Not this time. Martin won the game and a share of 1st place.
Tom Shneer tries his chess out vs veteran Harold Dondis,
in Round 1. Dondis was 2 for 2 with a half point bye
in Round 3: 2.5 points, sharing 1-3rd place.
Tom was 1 for 3 with a good chess lesson from Harold.
VETERANS FACE OFF IN ROUND 2
Mike Griffin, black vs Harold Dondis, Round 2.
Harold took the gloves off on this one for the
full point. Mike was 1 for 3 on the day.
PRODIGY WATCH UPDATE
A poised 7 yr old Derek Jin defends solidly to draw
Tim O'Malley in Round 1.
Derek Jin vs Veteran Fighter Ray Behenna, Round 2: draw!
Derek played 2 rounds, drawing both. Ray was 1 for 3
on the day. Derek up'd his rating +17 points to 1463.

Timothy Hanke, Harvard Graduate
and former editor of Chess Horizons,
returns to BCC tournament chess after
years long break (2004). Welcome back Tim!

This was Marco's 4th tournament and his
2nd at the BCC. Welcome back Marco!
Chess expert Luis A Baez-Rosario returns to BCC to play white vs
Natasha Christiansen in Round 1.
Luis went 50 percent with 1.5/3 on the day.
Uri Feld, not seen at BCC Chess since August, 2013,
plays black vs Arthur Tang, Round 3.
Uri won this game and scored 2 for 3 on the day.

The ever-serious Nathan Smolensky,
former BCC President,
current MACA president
and newly appointed editor
of Chess Horizons,
directs and plays chess as well!
