BCC: QUADS REPORT // 5 QUADS + 3SS /// 25 PARTICIPANTS /// LIVELY GAMES /// MAJORITY KIDS !!

QUAD 1
NM Chris Williams scores a perfect 3-0 for clear 1st place.
Here he is seen playing Nithin Kavi in Round 3.
Chris was +8 to 2317 rating for his efforts. Bravo, Chris!
Brandon Wu, black, vs Jake Garbarino, Round 3: draw.
Jake and Brandon shared 2-3rd place; Jake had a +2 to 2089
rating result and Brandon was +16 to 1988.
QUAD 2
Conway Xu plays black vs Mark Fins in Round 2.
Conway scored 2.5 points to claim clear 1st place
and a +27 to 1959 rating.
Jason Tang plays white vs Mark Kaprielian in Round 2.
Jason scored 2 points for clear 2nd place and a +11 to 1942

Suraj Ramanathan squeezes his brain for the right answers.
He got 2.5 out of 3 for clear 1st place and a +59 to 1846 rating.

Bob Sullivan on the move with black vs Rui Liang in Round 2.
Rui scored 2 points to claim clear 2nd place for a +17 to 1886 
provisional rating.
QUAD 4
Harold Dondis, Esq. seen here playing black vs Niranjan 
Shankar in Round 2 scored 2 points out of 3 to secure clear
1st place in Quad 4.

OLDEST VS YOUNGEST
92 yr old Harold Dondis sets up his pieces vs 8 yr old
Derek Jin in Round 3. Who was more tired by the end
of the day?  Harold won the game and the quad.
Derek broke even with 1.5/3.  Bravo, bravo !!
Bob Oresick faces off with the white pieces vs Derek Jin in
Round 2. The game was a draw! Bob was +28 for 1532 rating.
Bob and Derek shared 2-3rd place. Bravo, Bob!
QUAD 5
Jerry Li (right) writes down his move in Round 3. Jerry
was on the mark with a perfect 3 - 0 to take clear 1st in
Quad 5. Alan Song (left) was playing Boshen Li who he
beat for 1/3 on the day.  Bravo Jerry Li for a great
performance!
Evan Patchen scored 2 out of 3 to
notch clear 2nd place in Quad 5
for a +44 to 1535 rating.
First time at the BCC, Evan is

SMALL SWISS
Skyler Zhou scored 2/3 for 1-4th place in the Small Swiss.
Bravo, Skyler.
Thomas C Jay faces off with Raymond Xu in Round 3.
Thomas scored 2 points to share 1-4 th in Small Swiss.
This is Tom's first visit to the BCC. Welcome Tom!
Raymond Xu also scored 2/3 points to keep pace in the 1-4th
pile-up for the prize money.  Bravo, Raymond!
Tony DiNosse scored 2 points to share in the 1-4th place
ranking in the Small Swiss. Here Tony is playing Skyler Zhou 
in Round 2, a game which Skyler won. But Tony recovered and 
went on to win his Round 3 game against Daniel Wang.
[I was sitting next to Tony and Daniel in Round 3, playing
an extra game with Skyler Zhou which I won, when I just
happened to look over to Tony and Daniel's board: checkmate!
Tony had checkmated Daniel's uncastled king in the center of
the board with a knight!  Bravo, Tony.  To date, Tony has 
amassed 166 win over his chess career. Bravo
