Carissa wins again! Defeats former Hungarian women's champion.
Carissa Yip scored again! In Round 2 in the Women's
Division of the 2019 World Team Championship in Astana, Kazakhstan on
Wednesday, March 6th, the ex-Wachusett CC champion beat the former
Hungarian women's champion, 34-year-old WGM Ticia Gara, in a match that
ended in a 3-1 victory for the United States. Carissa and team mate WCM
Rochelle Wu scored the wins for the U.S. team, while higher-titled team
mates, WGM Tatev Abrahamyan and WGM Katerina Nemcova. scored draws
against their Hungarian opponents.
