Carissa Yip still undefeated in World Team Championship.
Draws former Georgian women's champion in round 3.
Carissa Yip remained undefeated in the women's
division of the 2019 World Team Championship in Astana, Kazakhstan, as
she drew the former women's champion of Georgia, 32-year-old WGM Nino
Batsiashvili, in round 3 of the nine-round team event on Thursday, March
7. Carissa split the point on board 3 with Batsiashvili, who was
Georgian women's champion in 2015 and 2018, while her team mates, WGM
Tatev Abrahamyan on board 1, WGM Katerina Nemcova on board 2, and WCM
Rochelle Wu on board 4, lost their games, giving Georgia a 3.5-0.5 win
over the American team.

This is quite a performance so far by Carissa. This should put her back over 2300 FIDE for the moment.
