Chess rarely breaks out into mainstream consciousness, but obviously the dance floor dust-up over WIM Arianne Caoili at the Turin Olympiad was just what the average person on the street was looking for. The story has cut across the blogosphere as well, with many non-chess related blogs covering and commenting on it. I was thinking about listing these blog references, but there are now far too many.
