Get paid to study chess

The University of Amsterdam is seeking a PhD candidate to study "Development of cognitive expertise in chess."
The appointment will be for a period of four years (one year plus a further three years after a positive evaluation) and should lead to a dissertation. The gross monthly salary will be in accordance with the University regulations for academic personnel. It will range from 1,933 Euros (first year) up to a maximum of 2,472 Euros (fourth year) gross per month. The envisaged starting date is 1 September 2006.
