medicine at Boston Children's Hospital keeps his mind sharp
with a little tournament chess. Here he is playing black, vs Joe Ray
who scored 3 points to share 1-5 place in the U2000 Section.
Dr. Yarbrough was 2 for 4 on the day.

FIRST FEMALE BCC CLUB CHAMPION
NM Carissa Yip scores 7 points for clear 1st place by 1 point.
NM Brandon Wu, black vs NM Carissa Yip, Round 6.
NM Lawyer Times vs NM Professor Tim Sage. Round 5.
Lawyer scored 6 points to share 2-3rd place with
NM Sherif Khater. (background): Bob Oresick plays
Percy Yip in the Hauptturnier which ran concurrently
with the BCC Club Championship.
Charles Bing, black vs NM Sherif Khater, Round 4.
Sherif scored 6 points to share 2-3rd place with NM Lawyer Times.
NM Brandon Wu vs NM Andrew Hoy, Round 4.
Brandon and Andrew scored 5 points to share 4-6th place
with NM Professor Sage.
NM Lawyer Times, black vs Bryant Vernon, Round 5.
Bryant scored 4 points to share 7-9th place with
Gabriel Birzu.

Soren Pedersen, black vs Sherif Khater, Round 6.
Soren finished in 9th place with 2 points.
NM Professor Sage plays Charles Bing, Round 2.
Charles was BCC Junior Champion and had a feed into
the BCC Club Championship. Though Charles played
valiantly, he was clearly outclassed by the other players.
Yet! Charles was a good sport and surely gained a lot
of practical experience playing in the BCC major leagues.
Bravo! Charles, you were a good sport!

Percy is the proud father of Carissa Yip who won
the BCC Club Championship. Johannes won the
Hauptturnier with 6.5 out of 7 points.
Bob Oresick vs Larry Eldridge, Round 4.
Larry scored 4.5 points to capture clear 2nd place.
Bob scored 4 points to claim clear 3rd place.
Professor Natesh Pillai, black vs Bob Oresick.
Natesh is professor of statistics at Harvard University
and was unable to complete this event due to his work

to share 3-4th place with expert Jason Tang. Carissa
