If I do not have your lichess Username, please send that to me or include it in the comments in your Registration. For Round 1, Pairings will be posted on Tuesday just after 6 PM on the Boylston CC website. The cutoff time for registration in time to play a Round is Tuesday at 6 PM. Any players who register subsequent to 6 PM will be skipped until the following week's Round. Each Round begins at 6:30 PM except for games whose start times were agreed in advance to be changed. Rating with USCF will be delayed by 72 hours after the completion of the tournament to give lichess time to ensure Fair Play was observed in all games. Players must join Zoom and Share their Screens or show their play areas in their camera views. The link will be sent to players by e-mail. Players with scores of at least +2, or in contention for a prize, may, at the TD's discretion, be required to provide at least two separate camera views on Zoom. Players must be current Members of USCF for the OPEN SECTION ONLY, not the U1900.

Description	Support the BCC and come play in this fundraising event! A single entry fee will allow you to support your favorite chess club, and to play in both a 3SS G/65 d10 tournament during the day and five double rounds of G5 rated blitz in the evening. Morning coffee, hot chocolate, donuts, and a pizza lunch are all included! Please indicate in the "bye" field if you need any byes in either the G/65 or the blitz event. Also indicate which blitz section you prefer (Open or U1800), or if you do not want to play in the blitz. Select "blitz only" in Sections, if you want to play only in the blitz. Players in the Unrated section do not need USCF membership; USCF membership required for all other players, including the blitz. Please feel free to make a donation, even if you choose not to play. Boylston Chess: Historic and nostalgic tables

Chess tables not only historic but nostalgic

Hi all!

I had the privilege and pleasure to sell one of the club’s historic tables to

Ted McHugh.

Ted and his son Teddy met me at the Norris St location to pick up a 6’ table.

As you can see from the photo, Ted was absolutely delighted with his purchase.

He was glad to acquire the table,

not least because of his memories of the BCC at its original location.

Here he is at 14 with Harry Lyman in 1982.

After loading the club into his vehicle,

Ted visited the new site and looked at some chess with Teddy.

I hope to see Teddy, a junior at Boston College,

carry on his father’s pastime of playing at the club!

Description	GM Eugene Perelshteyn will give a lecture based on his recent book, co-authored with FM Nate Solon: Evaluate Like A Grandmaster. https://www.amazon.com/Evaluate-Like-Grandmaster-Eugene-Perelshteyn/dp/B0BHNF5CWB Eugene will discuss why this topic is overlooked in modern chess literature, and why the evaluation is very important for chess players of all levels. He will also share stories about his coaches: GMs Zaitsev, Dzindzichashvili, Wojtkiewitcz, and Dorfman, and how they influenced his chess. Eugene will bring several books for purchase ($10) and signing. Dinner to be provided by Charles. Please advise of any allergies or dietary restrictions.
