Nevertheless, in a comment on J'adoube, her inadvertent Brave New World reference - "soma chess ambitions" - got me thinking. Unlike modafinil, Huxley's soma is a drug which wouldn't improve your play at all, but instead would make you so happy that you wouldn't care. Legalization and widespread distribution would certainly mark the end of chess improvement blogs.
