Fellow MACA Championship players,
In the crowded congested quarters of Boylston Chess Club on a snowy and rainy Sunday of Daylight Savings Time, MACA crowned the 2019 Champions of the Spiegel Cup year, including the MACA representatives to the Denker and Barber Championships.
Thanks very much to Oleg Poliannikov (dad to the winner Danila), Steve Frymer, and Nathan Smolensky for helping to direct.
Though we'll need a bigger and better space next year to accommodate both parents and waiting players in bulk, in general the tournament went smoothly and was wonderfully competitive. We appreciate the generous gesture of BCF to host in a pinch for MACA.
