CHESS LESSON
8 yr old Derek Jin plays former BCC Champion, and co-winner
of this event, NM Lawyer Times. The game was interesting
and Derek learned a lot from the master's performance.

GUEST FROM NEW YORK/DOMINICA
Juan Payan who scored 2 points and a share of 4-8th place
in the Game 60 event, entertains FM Luis Flaguer (right) in
some off-hand blitz games. Luis, born in Dominican Republic
is on his country's olympiad team, and resides for now in
New York City to soak up the rich chess culture and
pick up some valuable pointers from the resident grandmasters
in the Big Apple. Luis was off to Harvard Square for some
springtime chess in the unseasonably warm weather.
He promises to return to play in one of the BCC's many
events. Welcome Luis!
