CLASSIC CHESS PROBLEM: FIND BEST PLAY
White to move: Rook on c5 is enprise. What to do?
NEW ENGLAND SPRINGTIME: BERMUDA WARM
David Glickman vs Charles Slade, R4 TNS, March.
Black presses for a win.
David Glickman deep in thought vs Charles Slade, R4.
As the game proceeded, it seemed that Slade had a strong
attack. Glickman took his time to consider one strong move
after the next; at one point, Slade had a draw in hand by
repetition of moves; Sir Charles was aiming for the full
point. At a critical point, David delivered a key check with
his queen and together with his rook, anchored in the
center of the board, checkmated black in a surprising
turn of events. Bravo, David, calm under pressure!
David scored 3.5 points to claim clear 2nd place in the
open section.
[This is the quality and excitement of chess games of the TNS]

victory to Farzad for a 2.5/4 plus score in this 4 round event.
