trophy for 1st place in the MACA Girls
Championship. Standing to her right, is
the President of the Boylston Chess Club,
NM Andrew Hoy who was the TD for 
this event.  Bravo, Joy!

GIRLS OPEN CHAMPION 2017
 CRITICAL GAME
Joy Cao, black vs Sandra Shur, Round 3.
Joy won this game and the event with 3.5 points,
and a rating of +36 to 1682!
Sandra scored 3 points to share 2-3rd place with
Yue (Kerry) Huang.
Mia Figelman vs Yue (Kerry) Huang, Round 3.
Kerry scored 3 points to share 2-3rd place with
Sandra Shur.
Kelsey Liu vs Tianna Wang, Round 3. Tianna won this game
but Kelsey squeaked by with 2.5 points to take clear 4th place.
Tianna scored 2 points for 5-10th place.
U1000 SECTION
Joanne Jiang Zhou, proud and modest,
holds her trophy for 1st place U1000
Section of the MACA GIRLS
CHAMPIONSHIP!
Joanne earned a +84 to 775 provisional
rating.  Totally awesome!
