The First Annual Chess Circus and Spectacle is all about having a great time and playing great chess! Bold, imaginative play is encouraged!

Tournament scoring format encourages decisive games. Register for the optional "side show" to ratchet up the spectacle!

Don't forget November's Big Money Blitz tournament, held Friday night at 8:00 pm.

Scoring:
3 points for a win, 0 points for a loss. In the event of a draw, an unrated Armageddon game will be played with the same colors:
White has 10 minutes, Black has 7 minutes, and Black has draw odds. Then the winner of the Armageddon game earns 1.5 points, and the loser of the Armageddon game earns 1 point.

Prizes
Open Section: $2500, $1500, $1000, $500; top U2300 $1000, $500
U2200 Section: $500, $200; top U2000 $150 top U1800 $150
U1700 Section: $500, $200; top U1500 $150 top U1300 $150

Brilliancy Prize Fund: $1000 (# of brilliancy prizes is not fixed, judge will award all prizes at conclusion of tournament).

Byes are available at 1.5 points.

Must be rated at least 1800 to play in the Open section (either November supplement or live rating)
