Those of you who have received the latest issue of Chess Life are probably aware of the recent changes in format and content. I did my usual skim but still found no reason to spend more than about 10 minutes with the issue (no change there). To be honest, I wouldn't subscribe to Chess Life except that it is a "benefit" of USCF membership. I do pay to receive New in Chess and spend many hours with each issue.
Given my views on Chess Life, I didn't think it made much sense for me to review the recent changes. Instead, I offer the perspectives of a couple of my fellow bloggers:
